Norwest. Medical suites, car park for sale

Medical suites and a 540-bay car park, integrated with Healthscope’s Norwest Private Hospital, are for sale. The hospital, expected to open within months, will include 171 beds, 10 operating theatres and 7400 square metres of medical suites, in Norwest Business Park. It will replace The Hills Private Hospital, which opened in 1976. Healthscope is one of Australia’s leading private healthcare operators. Colliers International is handling the sale.

Minto. $90m maltings project approved

The Department of Planning has approved the Minto Maltings project, at Stonny Batter Road, Minto, which includes development of a malt plant with an annual capacity of 110,000 tonnes, a grain packing plant and associated infrastructure. Fifty workers are expected to be employed on its construction, with 20 workers employed when the facility becomes operational The estimated cost of construction is $90 million. The applicant was Cardno Pty Ltd, in Wollongong.

Parramatta. AIFA opens in the CBD

The Australian Institute of Financial Services & Accounting (AIFA) has expanded its presence in Sydney by opening a learning centre, at 81 George Street, Parramatta, to cater to an increasing demand for its training and development programs and to provide businesses with job-ready personnel with technical knowledge and practical skills.
