Villawood. Computers off to e-heaven
The Federal Minister for the Environment, Peter Garrett, has opened the Sims Recycling Solutions e-waste recycling at Villawood. Sims, the world's largest electronics recycling company, has established the first automated centre in the southern hemisphere. it is capable of handling more than 20,000 tonnes of electronic products each year. The plant is capable of recycling 98 per cent of e-waste so steel, glass, aluminium, plastic, paper and packaging can be re-used.
