Seven Hills. North Rocks company to relocate

Australand Property Group, based at Rhodes, has commenced construction of a !0,600-square-metre warehouse and distribution facility, for RF Industries, at its M2 Business Hub, at Seven Hills. RF Industries, a developer, manufacturer and distributor of wireless technology and energy products, will relocate from North Rocks and join Sigma Pharameceuticals, Cabac and Rosella Foods at the hub. Australand has over 115,000 square metres of industrial buildings under development in Western Sydney, according to Ian Barter, GM, of industrial and commercial developments.

Eastern Creek. Best and Less moves west

Best and Less will boost its 15,000 square metres of warehouse and distribution space, at Kingsgrove, when it relocates to a $44 million, 36,000-square metre development currently under construction, in the Eastern Creek Business Park. The facility is expected to support the company’s growth for the next 10 years, according to The Australian Financial Review. The building to service the company’s national outlets and due for completion early next year, is the first project in the 117-hectare stage 3 of Australand’s Eastern Creek Business Park development.

Rhodes. No to privatising Australand

CapitalLand South-East, Asia’s biggest property developer by market value, has said it has no intention to privatise Australand, after increasing its stake in the company from 54 per cent to about 60 per cent, according to The Australian Financial Review. Australand is one of Australia’s major diversified property groups, with activities across Australia covering development of residential land, housing and apartments, development of and investment in income producing commercial and industrial properties, and property management
