Region. Road widening, upgrade in Budget

$25 million has been earmarked in Tuesday’s State Budget to complete construction of the joint-funded F5 Freeway widening between Ingleburn and Campbelltown, and $15 million will be spent on the four-lane upgrade of Camden Valley Way between Cobbitty Rd and Narellan Rd. A further $16 million will be used to start construction of the Erskine Park Link Road. Mr O'Farrell intends to sell the budget as a boon for Western Sydney, according to The Daily Telegraph.

The NSW government will announce more than $2 billion over four years for the North West Rail Link in the state budget. This includes $314 million in funds this year and it means the state government is getting on with the project with or without federal funding, News Limited reported on Monday. Tuesday's budget will also provide more than $1 billion over four years to continue construction of the South West Rail Link between Glenfield and Leppington, according to The Australian.
