Parramatta.$4 million hotel upgrade

An estimated $4 million is being spent to modify approved alterations and additions to the Commercial Hotel, in Station Street, in the Parramatta CBD. Modifications include relocation of passenger lift, outdoor gaming area and steps, additional indoor gaming area, deletion of approved changes to the Station Street entrance

Parramatta. $4 million hotel expansion

The Commercial Hotel, on the corner of Hassall and Station streets, in the Parramatta CBD, has won DA approval for alterations and additions to the heritage-listed property including changes to the internal layout, ground floor extension and the conversion of the first floor manager’s residence to a bistro and bar area. The estimated cost of construction is $4 million.

Argos Investments Pty Ltd proposes an estimated $4 million upgrade of the Commercial Hotel, in Hassall Street, in the CBD, including alterations and additions to the heritage-listed building such as to the internal layout, ground floor extension and the conversion of the first floor manager’s residence to a bistro and bar area. Council will consider the DA at its meeting on April 14.
