Castle Hill. Gloria Jean's in Shanghai

Premier Kristina Keneally visited the Australian-owned Gloria Jeans Coffee House in Shanghai to see first-hand how the Castle Hill-based business was driving its trade in China. Gloria Jeans, in partnership with the Chinese company Dash Brands plans to open 600 stores across China within the next 15 years and 10 of these outlets are expected to be in operation by the end of 2010. “Gloria Jeans opened its first coffee house in China just 12 months ago and now has plans for a further 600 stores, which is a fantastic achievement,” she said. Nabi Saleh and Peter Irvine brought Gloria Jeans Coffee to Australia from the US in 1995. In 2004 the company became fully Australian-owned when it bought the Gloria Jeans international rights (excluding the USA and Puerto Rico).

Castle Hill. Gloria Jeans new outlet in China

Specialty coffee outlet group, Gloria Jean's Coffees Internationa, based at Castle Hill,l expects to open its second outlet this month in China's largest city, Shanghai. in partnership with Chinese food retail company, Dash Brands Ltd, which is also its master franchise partner for China. Dash Brands plans to open 600 Gloria Jean's stores across China under within the next 15 years..

Castle Hill. Gloria Jeans goes to China

Gloria Jeans International, based in Castle Hill, has announced its first move into China with the appointment of master franchise partner, Dash Brands. The first store should open in Shanghai by mid-2009, with the Beijing coffee house operational before the Chinese new year in 2010.
