Liverpool. Hospital on target

The $390 million redevelopment of Liverpool Hospital is on target and almost 40 departments will move into the new buildings by the end of the year. The refurbishment of the existing clinical services building has already begun as hospital departments begin making the move to new premises. By the end of 2011, it will have capacity for 855 beds, 23 operating rooms and 60 intensive care beds. When complete, the hospital will be the largest tertiary facility in NSW.

Liverpool. $390m hospital near completion

The $390 million redevelopment of Liverpool Hospital currently underway will provide state-of-the-art facilities and meet the healthcare needs of the state’s fastest growing regions, with a population expected to grow to one million by 2016. The redevelopment includes a six-storey hospital. The project, which commenced in 2007, is due to be completed by late October, with the total redevelopment in late 2011 when it will become the largest teaching tertiary facility in NSW. Preliminary work has commenced on the $45 million on the Ingham Health Research Institute building.

Liverpool. Hospital reaches new heights

A tree-topping ceremony has marked the height of the $390 million stage-two redevelopment of Liverpool Hospital. Upon completion of the project, the hospital will have 855 beds, 23 operating theatres, 60 intensive-care beds, a major ambulatory care centre, extra parking, new education facilities and a road and pedestrian bridge over the railway line to link the eastern and western campuses.

Liverpool. $390 million project approved

The Minister for Planning, Kristina Keneally, has approved a $390 million project for infrastructure and ancillary works, at Liverpool Hospital, including an 800-space multi-storey car park and new pedestrian and vehicular bridges over the railway line Late last year, an application for stage 2 of a new clinical services complex was approved.
