Oran Park. DA for town centre

Landcom’s partner at Oran Park, the Greenfields Corporation, had this week lodged a development application for the first stage of the Oran Park town centre. This application will include: the first stage of 50,000 square metres of retail space and 4380 square metres of commercial space, South-west Sydney’s largest Woolworths supermarket, and approximately 30 specialty shops and a medical centre. Future stages of the town centre will include department stores, a restaurant precinct, another supermarket, residential apartments and more fashion retail. Once complete, the town centre will provide 5000 jobs and about 300 apartment dwellings, supporting some 8500 homes in the wider Oran Park area.

Oran Park. DA for town centre

A detailed development application has been submitted for the Oran Park town centre. The DA includes the first stage of commercial development at the site, namely, 50,000 square metres of retail space and 4380 square metres of commercial space, The Australian Financial Review said.

Oran Park. 'Town' project underway

Developer Mark Perich told a Liverpool Chamber of Commerce meeting that Oran Park would be “a complete town when it's finished”. He said his family-run development company, Greenfields, had rezoned the former race track to contain 8500 residential blocks and 17 builders were currently putting together display homes and he was hopefully the project would encourage businesses and employers to the area. “Camden Council is considering moving its administration building there as well, because Oran Park is actually in the direct centre of the Camden Council area,” he said

Oran Park. Raceway closes for development

The Oran Park Raceway will cease operations on Tuesday to make way for 5550 new homes. Oran Park Town is the first stage of development in the South West Growth Corridor, with the potential to house up to 35,000 people over a 20 year development horizon. The town centre will become the geographical centre of the Camden local government area and its growing population.

Oran Park. $45 million phase one starts

The first development in Sydney’s Growth Centres kicked off with the $45 million phase one of the 30-hectare Oran Park Town Centre. Which includes upfront delivery of two school sites, a display home village, road infrastructure, playing fields, cycle paths, seniors living precinct, and the first commercial building of the town centre. The first of 2,000 lots will be delivered from late 2009, the Minister for Planning, Kristina Keneally, said. The 1119-hectare Oran Park precinct will include up to 7500 new homes for nearly 25,000 new residents, around 18 hectares of employment land and a capacity for 4120 jobs.
