Penrith. Maintaining close relationship

The CEO of the Penrith Business Alliance (PBA), Bijai Kumar, said the organisation would continue to maintain a close relationship with Toby Compton, business development advisor for the state of Tennessee, in the USA, following the latter’s presentation to 160 local business people on the healthcare industry in Nashville. ”The PBA will be extensively involved both in the development of the Werrington Innovation Campus as well as exploring new pathways for attracting developer interest in the Penrith CBD,” Mr Kumar said. He said plans were already underway to hold a video hook-up with local interested parties on models used by Tennessee to fund major projects. Mr Compton met with the University of Western Sydney, Nepean Hospital, Sydney Medical School, Nepean and council.

Penrith. Inaugural City Talk

Mr Toby Compton, business development advisor for the State of Tennessee, in the USA, will deliver the inaugural City Talk event, hosted by the Penrith Business Alliance (PBA) and Penrith City Council. His topic will be: Attracting Global Capital in the Healthcare Industry- the Nashville Experience. “It is hoped that there are good lessons to be learnt from the Nashville experience in growing our own Penrith Health and Education Precinct which has a vision ‘to become one of Australia’s premier destinations for health, education, medical research and related industry over the next ten years.’”, said PCA CEO, Bijai Kumar. The event will take place at Panthers on June 5.
