Auburn. WOW outlet closes

Queensland-based retailer WOW Audio Visual Superstores Pty. Ltd will close all of its 15 stores, one of which is in Auburn, resulting in around 580 job losses. The company was placed into receivership on February 27, 2012 under the control of Ferrier Hodgson. The company owes unsecured creditors about $25 million.

Region. Allied Brands creditors' meeting

Brisbane-based franchisor Allied Brands, which has a number of outlets in Western Sydney trading under brand names such as Baskin-Robbins, Kenny's Cardiology, Cookie Man, has been placed in voluntary receivership. Vincents Chartered Accountants will hold a creditors’ meeting on November 8.
