Parramatta. Strategy for Riverbank block

According to Parramatta City Council’s 2008/09 annual report, council has adopted the urban design strategy for the proposed mixed-use Riverbank project, which comprises the block bounded by the Parramatta River and Church, Phillip and Smith streets, in the CBD. Buildings up to 80 metres are permitted; the FSR is 6:1. Council owns property valued in excess of $71 million within the block.

Parramatta. A 12-storey building on riverbank

Council has approved alterations and additions to an approved 10-storey mixed-use development, currently under construction on the northern bank of the Parramatta River, at 1 Sorrell, including the provision of two additional storeys and provision for seven additional residential units, bringing the total to 37, and strata subdivision. Thirty-four objectors attended an on-site meeting prior to approval.
