North Ryde. California acquisition

Sonic Healthcare, based in Macquarie Park, has announced plans to buy the Calfornia-based laboratory, Central Coast Pathology Consultants, in its fourth acquisition this year and second in California.

Macquarie Park. Sonic expands overseas

Sonic Healthcare, Australia's biggest provider of pathology services based at Macquarie Park, has paid $54 million for KBL-BML-Unilabo and Woestyn Laboratory, in Belgium, and made its first foray into the Californian market, paying $30 million for Physicians Automated Laboratory. Sonic managing director Colin Goldschmidt said the acquisitions were part of the company's growth strategy in Europe and the US and added there were more to come.

North Ryde. Sonic to acquire US frim

Sonic Healthcare, at Macquarie Park, which sells pathology and radiology service, plans to acquire the New York-based CBLPath, which has become one of the largest independent anatomical pathology laboratories in the USA. Completion of the transaction is expected in December 2010 and is conditional upon CBLPath shareholder approval and anti trust clearance

North Ryde. Sonic pursues expansion

Pathology and radiology provider, Sonic Healthcare Limited, at Macquarie Park, said it remains on track to deliver profit growth of 10-15 per cent as it pursues expansion in the USA and Europe. Earlier this year the company acquired 100 per cent of the Medhold Group, in Belgium, and 100 per cent of the Lademannbogen Laboratory, in Germany.

North Ryde. Sonic continues expansion

Australia’s largest pathology provider, Sonic Healthcare, based at Macquarie Park, plans to outlay $366 million to purchase Belgium-based laboratory group. Medhold, as part of its efforts to expand operations in Western Europe. Last year, the company acquired three labs in the USW and one in Germany, according to The Australian Financial Review.
