North West. Boost to local tourism

Hills Shire Council and Tourism NSW partnered with Hills Hawkesbury and Riverlands Tourism (HHART) in initiatives to ensure the tourism industry was an on-going viable and growing industry for the area, which attracts. an estimated 2.4 million visitors every year producing an estimated $200 million dollars to the local economy. HHART has launched its first regional destination guide and website for potential visitors to the area.

The Hills. 'Closer than you think'

Coinciding with the news that Australians are preferring to take shorter holidays and visit attractions in the local area, The Hills, Hawkesbury and Riverlands Tourism body – with the slogan, Closer than you think – plans to reopen Mungerie House, at Rouse Hill, in its efforts to develop an attractive, professional and sustainable tourism industry in the Hills and Hawkesbury areas of Sydney
