Region. 'Super six' list

Transport for NSW has identified a “super six” list of congested transport corridors through Sydney, in a draft tranpsort plan to be released today. These are Sydney Airport to the central business district (CBD), Rouse Hill to Macquarie Park, Liverpool to Sydney Airport, Parramatta to the CBD via Strathfield, Mona Vale to the CBD.

Region.Less desirable places

Urbis director, Roberta Ryan, said the weak property market in outer areas reflects that these are often less desirable places to live, largely due to poor transport. “The market,” she said in the Australian Financial Review, “is slowing in the western suburbs of Sydney because of the lack to transport. We’ve obviously got to get transport and land use planning linked together.”
