Berala. Woolworths plans $10m project

Woolworths has lodged with Auburn Council an application to build a shopping arcade at Berala station, at a cost of approximately $10 million. The project, which includes speciality shops, would include three levels of car parking, two of which would be underground.

Woolworths has paid $5.7 million for a site at Berala, formerly owned by failed Citadel Property, The property had approval for a shopping centre and 150 apartments. Woolworths plans to submit a new DA as part of a store expansion, according to The Australian Financial Review.
