Blacktown. $24 million carpark

Blacktown City Council has received a DA for the $24 million, multi-storey carpark, at Blacktown Hospital. The carpark will provide 600 spaces.

Parramatta. Tenders called

Parramatta City Council has called for tenders for the redevelopment of an at-grade car park, of 5211 square metres, fronting Macquarie and Hassall streets, in the CBD, for a mixed-use development and the delivery of a 700-space multi-level car park Council proposes to relocate long-term parking from the CBD core.

Parramatta. 700-car commuter carpark

Parramatta City Council will seek redevelopment proposals for the Macquarie Carpark site, in Macquarie Street, in the Parramatta CBD, including the provision of a new 700-car commuter carpark “ This will allow the future redevelopment of council’s central city carpark sites, unlocking new opportunities to grow Parramatta’s CBB and more jobs to Parramatta,” said council’s CEO, Dr Robert Lang

St Marys. 500-space car park opened

The NSW Government has officially opened a new, 500 space multi-storey car park
at St Marys railway station. A new bus turnaround and kiss-and-ride area will be constructed nearby in early 2011. The multi-storey car park at St Marys is the latest project delivered under the NSW Government’s Commuter Car Park and Interchange Program.Under the program, 38 new commuter car parks and more than 8000 new spaces are being delivered in Sydney, the Central Coast, the Illawarra and the Blue Mountains.

Glenfield. $12 million car park opened

The NSW Government today officially opened the brand new $12 million multi-storey, 700-space car park at Glenfield railway station, the latest milestone in the NSW Government’s delivery of the $2.1 billion South West Rail Link. The car park has been designed to accommodate another floor should the car park need to be extended in the future When the South West Rail Link is completed, Glenfield Station will become an important interchange for the East Hills, South, Cumberland and Glenfield to Leppington lines. Under the Metropolitan Plan, the population of south west Sydney will increase from 410,000 in 2006 to 874,000 by the year 2036.

Blacktown. New 500-space car park

Construction of a 500-space commuter carpark on the northern side of Blacktown station is due to commence in the coming weeks. The project will provide parking over four levels and include lifts, lighting and CCTV surveillance cameras. Transport Construction Authority contractor, AW Edwards, will start by installing 124 piles, using a 70-tonne piling rig at the First Avenue site, with completion scheduled for mid-2011.

St Marys. Multi-level car park at station

The new St Marys 4-storey commuter carpark, north of the station, is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The facility will provide approximately 500 car spaces including additional disabled parking spaces.

Fairfield. Tender for carpark

Fairfield City Council is calling for tenders for the project management, design and contract management of a multi-storey car park, at Fisher Street, Cabramatta. GM Alan Young has warned that canvassing of councillors relating to the tender will result in automatic disqualification of submitted tenders. Tenders close on May 13.
