Blue Mountains. Hotel for sale

The Victoria & Albert Hotel, in the Blue Mountains, is for sale at auction through CBRE Hotels. Built around 1914 and retaining many of its original features, the property has 26 guest rooms and 4-bed chalet accommodation.

Blacktown. Hotel approved

Amalgamated Holdings Ltd’s application for the construction of the three storey Abode Hotel, at 32 Cricketers Arms Road, Prospect, has been approved. The three-storey building will have 124 rooms and 82 parking spaces. Approval has also been given for the reconfiguration of southern movie screen and parking of existing drive-in cinema.

Parramatta. Hotel with no name

Exterior signage identifying the Crowne Plaza Parramatta has been taken down. The Singapore-based Pan Pacific Hotels Group, owner of the 196-room hotel, in the Parramatta CBD, will rebrand it as the Parkroyal Parramatta, in November. The property was named the Parramatta Parkroyal when it opened three decades ago under the ownership of Southern Pacific Hotels Corporation.

Rydalmere. Appeal refused

The Land and Environment Court has refused the appeal by V A Mally for alterations and additions to the ground floor of the existing industrial premises for use as a licensed Hotel and associated signage, at 229 Victoria Road, Rydalmere. Approval was sought for the internal layout of the unit including provision of a bar area, outdoor beer garden, bathrooms and kitchen. Approval is also sought to operate Monday to Saturday 11am to 11pm and Sunday 11am to 10pm.

Parramatta. Hotel for sale

The 181-room Courtyard by Marriott Parramatta, in Anderson Street, is for sale by tender. The property, in the southern precinct of the CBD, sits on a 8017-square-metre site and has a 220-vehicle car park. The property is for sale under instructions from S Cathro and D Lombe for an on behalf of HPI Parramatta Pty, receivers and managers appointed, in liquidation and Ce’Nedra Pty Ltd, receivers and managers appointed, in liquidation. Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels is handling the sale.
