Region. Shopping centre results

Shopping centre giant Westfield, one of Australia’s biggest retail landlords, reported a strong 2011 to December 31. The total annual sales at Parramatta were $713 million, down 2 per cent over 2011.; Penrith’s sales were $583 million, an increase of 1 per cent; Macquarie recorded sales of $507 million, down 3 per cent; Liverpool/s sales were $456 million, up0.9 per cent; Mt Druitt’s sales were $379 million, up 2.5 per cent; and North Rocks had sales of $144 million, up 0.7 per cent.

Region. Group's sales momentum

Super Retail Group, with outlets across Western Sydney, such as, Supercheap Auto, BCF, Ray's Outdoors and Goldcross Cycles, has continued its sales momentum through a downturn for the retail sector and will push ahead with the opening of new stores this year. The company will focus on organic opportunities in 2011 - after paying $54 million last year to buy the camping group Ray's Outdoors - and the continued turnaround of its cycles business which has been hit by competition in the sector.
