Castle Hill. EOI for shopping centre

Expressions of interest have been called for the 11,620-square-metre Castle Hill Homemaker Centre, which has a net income of $2.3 million. The centre, within the main Castle Hill trading strip, is anchored by national retailers plus 14 speciality shops.

Miller. $8 million makeover

The $8 million refurbishment of the Miller Shopping Centre will include a new name: Miller Central. The Private investors who purchased the business last year have appointed Savils to manage the property.

Seven Hills. Shopping centre for sale

The Seven Hills Shopping Centre is on the market. The 19,438-square-metre centre, on a 4.5- hectare site, has a fully leased net income of $8.1 million annually. The centre’s tenants include Woolworths, Coles and Aldi supermarkets plus five mini- majors and 75 speciality outlets.

St Marys. Sold for $13.5 million

Station Plaza shopping centre at St Marys has been sold by private company, Playful, to property syndicator, Haben Retail Management, for $13,5 million. Annual income for the centre fully leased is about $1.46 million. The 1174-hectare site, is opposite St Marys station and bus terminal.

Top Ryde. Shopping centre on the market

The Top Ryde shopping centre is expected to be on the market within weeks. The centre has been in the hands of receivers McGrathNicol since the company behind the property, Bevillesta, entered voluntary administration in February 2011 after being unable to repay debts. The centre covers 78,215 square metres of retail space. Crown International Holdings is working on a $500 million development of 500 apartments above the centre.

Region. Shopping centre results

Shopping centre giant Westfield, one of Australia’s biggest retail landlords, reported a strong 2011 to December 31. The total annual sales at Parramatta were $713 million, down 2 per cent over 2011.; Penrith’s sales were $583 million, an increase of 1 per cent; Macquarie recorded sales of $507 million, down 3 per cent; Liverpool/s sales were $456 million, up0.9 per cent; Mt Druitt’s sales were $379 million, up 2.5 per cent; and North Rocks had sales of $144 million, up 0.7 per cent.

Top Ryde. Unsecured creditors do a deal

Unsecured creditors to the collapsed company behind the $800 million Top Ryde City shopping centre, Bevillesta, have agreed to a deal giving them access to a pool of $2.5 million. The extent of unsecured claims is not yet known. Total claims run to around $900 million, according to minutes of the creditors’ meeting lodged with ASIC, the Australian Financial review reported.

Chester Hill. Shopping centre for sale

Expressions of interest in the newly refurbished Chester Hill neighbourhood shopping centre close on April 1. The site has an area of 1672 square metres has parking for 350 vehicles. The centre, which is anchored with a Woolworths Supermarket and 28 speciality tenants, is fully leased with a net income of approximately $2.4 million annually.

North Richmond. Shopping centre for sale

The neighbourhood shopping centre, at North Richmond, in a growing catchment area is for sale, containing a full-line Coles Supermarket and Liquorland plus 12 speciality shops, and ATM and five first-floor tenancies. The Coles lease expires in 2022. The centre was refurbished and extended in July 2007. Fully leased the net income is approximately $1.6 million. CB Richard Ellis is handling the sale.
